Miraculous Survival of American Man After Necklace Blocks Bullet

In a recent incident in Colorado, USA, a man was shot after getting into an argument with another individual. Fortunately, the bullet was stopped by a silver necklace he was wearing, saving him from harm.

The Commerce City Police Department in Denver, Colorado, posted on Facebook that on the evening of May 28th, the man got into a dispute with another man, which resulted in him being shot. The .22 caliber bullet fired by the other person struck his neck but became lodged perfectly in the silver metal necklace he was wearing. Had the bullet not been blocked, it would have posed a serious threat to the man’s life.

The police stated that the man only suffered minor puncture wounds and was not seriously injured.

From the photos released by the police, it is evident that the victim’s blood was visible on the necklace, with the bullet firmly lodged in the chain link of the necklace.

In a humorous tone, the police department wrote in the post, “We have to say, he really dodged a bullet – but he actually ‘caught’ one. This nearly 10mm wide necklace ‘might be the only reason the victim of the May 28 shooting is still alive’.”

According to the post, the shooter was apprehended on the spot and is facing charges of attempted murder.

The police department even joked that it is still unclear what metal material the silver necklace is made of, but it is likely not pure silver. “We checked, pure silver is very soft. So before you consider throwing away a knockoff, you better think twice.”

It’s a remarkable story of luck and perhaps a touch of fate that a piece of jewelry turned out to be the unlikely savior for the man caught in the middle of a heated altercation. The incident serves as a reminder of the unpredictable nature of life and the sometimes unusual ways in which we find ourselves protected from harm.
