Lin Meixiu lost 7 kilograms in one month due to insufficient nutrition, developing “acquired hemophilia”.

On June 6th, talented actress Lin Meixiu launched her debut album “Lady Pum Pum” on her 57th birthday. However, in order to release the album, she lost seven kilograms through weight loss. Unfortunately, due to overexertion, she ended up hospitalized for a week with “acquired hemophilia”, but fortunately, she has recovered after treatment.

During the album release press conference today, Lin Meixiu admitted that she had wanted to look good on camera and in clothes for the album release, so she decided to lose weight. She confessed to secretly getting weight loss injections and often only eating one meal or soup a day, resulting in a seven-kilogram weight loss in a month. “I never thought that due to lack of nutrition, my hemoglobin levels dropped to 2 (normal value for an average person is 12 or above),” she said. Later on, she started feeling increasingly unwell, dizzy, and on the brink of death. She never expected that losing weight would lead to such health problems.

Despite feeling unwell, she completed filming the music video for “Black Cat” and noticed that her swollen feet wouldn’t go down. This prompted her to urgently check into the hospital, where doctors discovered the rare condition of acquired hemophilia.

Lin Meixiu also explained that she used to bruise easily on her feet due to dancing or sports activities in the past. It was during this hospital visit that she realized the significant connection between muscle relaxation and blood circulation. The stress of releasing the album put immense pressure on her physically and mentally, causing her body to issue warning signs.

She revealed that she still experiences anemia and dizziness and has to undergo hospital check-ups every two weeks now as many of her blood parameters are below normal, especially her clotting function. She has been advised to be careful not to bump into things when walking.

During her hospitalization, she expressed gratitude for her husband’s attentive care, saying, “He made me feel like a pampered grandmother for those days, and that was the happiest time of my life being married to him!” Her husband was also the driving force behind her new album “Lady Pum Pum”, as he even edited the music video by her bedside during her hospital stay, providing constant support and companionship.
