In response, Goo Hara’s agency released a statement on the 24th denying the rumor.
Goo Hara passed away in November 2019, and her family’s home was burglarized while they were away in January 2020. The thief, who knew the old passcode to Goo Hara’s door, only stole the safe from her home. Goo Hara’s family had already removed items such as a phone and documents from the safe after the incident, but the culprit remains at large to this day.
Recently, there have been reports that Goo Hara had exposed scandals involving individuals like Jung Joon-young. The program “Curious Case,” aired on the 22nd, revealed a simulated portrait of the suspect enhanced through AI technology. After the portrait was released, some netizens commented that the man in the picture bore a resemblance to singer ZICO, who was previously linked to the scandal involving Jung Joon-young. Malicious comments flooded ZICO’s official IG account alleging his involvement in the theft, prompting KOZ Entertainment to issue a statement on the 24th.
KOZ Entertainment denounced the unfounded rumors circulating online that defamed and tarnished ZICO’s reputation, emphasizing that the baseless attacks had reached a level that could not be tolerated in silence. The agency stated its intention to take swift and strong legal action against those responsible for spreading false information.
Furthermore, KOZ Entertainment clarified that the recent rumors were groundless and reiterated its commitment to protecting its artists. The agency vowed to continue monitoring online activities, accumulating evidence, and taking strict measures against malicious rumors. KOZ Entertainment made it clear that they would not seek reconciliation and promised severe consequences for those spreading baseless rumors.
