Wuhan Parent Blocking Street with their Car Gets Stabbed by Shop Owner

On November 1st, a netizen posted a video claiming that on the evening of October 31st around 7 pm, a parent of a student from the North Campus of Wuhan Nanhu Middle School was stabbed by someone when picking up their child after school. The video shows the parent lying on the ground with a pool of blood.

According to a post on the Netease account “Huoshan Shihua,” the injured woman is the parent of an eighth-grade student. She parked her electric car in front of a fruit store and the store owner came out to stop her. An argument escalated between them, leading to the store owner losing control of his emotions and stabbing the woman with a knife.

Another Netease account, “Yangge History,” mentioned that the woman, caught off guard, fell into a pool of blood, staining the ground red. The surrounding parents and students were shocked, and some immediately called 110 and 120 for help. A few parents managed to subdue the store owner until the police arrived at the scene.

However, an eyewitness passing by the scene stated, “It’s not a fruit store, it’s a convenience store owner.” “I just sent my wife to Wuhan the day before yesterday and happened to see a pool of blood on the ground.”

An informant shared online that the convenience store owner is in his thirties, unmarried, with divorced parents and suffering from advanced stage uremia, requiring expensive regular dialysis treatment, while facing poor business. On the day of the incident, the mother parked her car right in front of the convenience store. The owner asked her to move the car, and others complied, but this mother refused to do so, even slapped the store owner. Subsequently, the store owner took out a knife, but the mother continued to argue with him, leading to the outcome shown in the video.

Reportedly, the convenience store owner was later apprehended by the police, and the injured parent was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Many netizens expressed their shock, “It’s too frightening.” “Nothing happened when I was studying at Nanhu Middle School a few years ago, but once I graduated, there were cases of suicide and stabbing.” “The principle of yielding to avoid conflict must always be remembered.” “The store owner is an honest person, unmarried at 30, and has uremia. I wonder why this woman dared to provoke him?” “We must stay calm recently, the stock market has been fierce, and people are easily triggered.”

We must remain vigilant and focused on understanding and resolving conflicts peacefully to prevent such tragic incidents from happening in our society.
