Wu Shanru Announces Pregnancy with Second Child, Reveals Baby’s Gender

Taiwanese artist Sandy (Shanru Wu), who gave birth to her first son last year, shared the joyful news of expecting her second child on the 20th. She posted a gender reveal photo on Instagram welcoming their dear yet unfamiliar new baby, announcing that it’s going to be a girl. With a son and a daughter, they have completed the character “good,” bringing in abundant blessings from friends and fans.

Sandy, the eldest daughter of Taiwanese “King of Variety Shows” Jacky Wu, married Mr. Wang in January 2022 after a 5-year relationship. They announced the pregnancy news in September of the same year and became parents in March 2023, receiving well-wishes from all walks of life.

Just a year later, on April 20, Sandy announced the happy news of expecting her second child on Instagram, along with sharing the gender reveal video. The couple popped a big balloon together, revealing a burst of pink balloons, indicating that they are expecting a baby girl, complementing their son “Little Chu Yi” to form the word “good.”

Expressing emotions, Sandy mentioned that preparing for the life of one more child undoubtedly requires adjustments and even sacrifices, but no matter how busy or chaotic life may get, that’s okay. She addressed her unborn baby, saying, “We sincerely welcome you to our world,” and “We have been slowly preparing for you, looking back at what we have learned in these past days, striving to create the gentlest and cutest home for you.”

Netizens flooded her post with blessings like “Congratulations on having a good pair,” “Amazing,” and “So touching, congratulations, Sandy.”

Through her manager, Sandy also expressed gratitude for everyone’s concern, revealing that she is almost 5 months pregnant, feeling tired and hungry but having no morning sickness. She will continue working normally with her doctor’s approval and is very happy to be expecting a daughter.

Jacky Wu, currently performing in concerts in Malaysia, had previously predicted that the baby would be a girl. Upon learning that it was indeed a granddaughter, he responded to the media, saying, “Very happy, very happy. I happen to be performing at Genting Highlands. I hope to share my blessings with all my good friends. Love you all!”
