On Sunday, July 21, after US President Biden announced his withdrawal from this year’s presidential election, leaders from around the world reacted to the news.

Most world leaders expressed respect for Biden’s decades of government service, discussing his work as an international security cooperation partner, but refrained from mentioning the ongoing election situation in the United States.
