Wang Shaowei is happy to see Energy return and reveals the reason for 5566’s absence

Energy, the Taiwanese boy band returning to the music scene after many years, saw their concert tickets at the Taipei Arena sell out quickly. Zhang Shuwei, one of the members, attended the press conference for the premiere of “Why Is My Mother-in-law So Cute 2” on the 30th. Meanwhile, Wang Shaowei, also a member of the boy band 5566, was asked about the possibility of a comeback during his interview.

During the interview, Wang Shaowei was asked about the absence of one member during 5566’s recent performances. Responding to questions about a potential return, Wang Shaowei humorously remarked that just looking at it made him tired, and joked, “Because I can’t dance, my liver and kidneys are not good, and I can’t stay up late.”

Despite his playful response, Wang Shaowei also expressed his happiness for Energy’s successful return and being able to perform at the Taipei Arena. He commented that after Mayday and 5566, it is difficult for other groups to achieve such success in terms of concert ticket sales. He said, “It’s rare to have such a grand concert event, and I’m happy for Energy!”

With Energy celebrating 22 years since its formation, member Zhang Shuwei will be getting married to Xie Jingying on June 9. During the interview at the premiere of “Why Is My Mother-in-law So Cute 2,” Zhang revealed the progress of their wedding preparations. He admitted that there may have been some disagreements or small disputes between them, but overall, the planning has been going smoothly. After the wedding banquet, they will immediately start preparing for Energy’s concert at the Taipei Arena in July. Zhang Shuwei’s schedule is packed with both career and love affairs.
