Video: Israeli military drone captures moments before Suleimani was killed

On Thursday, October 17th, the Israeli military released a video that they believe captures the final moments of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar’s life.

The video was shown during a press conference by Israeli Defense Forces spokesperson Daniel Hagari.

The footage shows a drone entering a damaged building where a person is seen sitting on a couch amidst the chaos of the room. The individual, whose face is covered with a headscarf, is quite far from the drone, making it difficult to discern their features. The person glances towards the drone and then throws a hard object in its direction.

Hagari confirmed that the person in the video is Sinwar, whose hand was previously injured by Israeli forces. Sinwar was seen throwing a piece of wood in the video.

According to Israel, Sinwar was found in the ruins of the building hit by an Israeli tank on Wednesday. The Israeli military only identified the man as the Hamas leader after sending infantry soldiers to the scene.

Sinwar was the mastermind behind the attack that sparked the Gaza War on October 7, 2023.

The Israeli military has confirmed the identification of his body.

Sinwar’s death marks a significant success for Israel and a pivotal event in the year-long Israel-Palestine conflict.
