Victoria Beckham, also known as “Beckham,” recently celebrated her 50th birthday with a lavish party. Just after that, she turned around to celebrate her husband, the former football superstar David Beckham’s birthday. Previously disliking the thought of getting older, she now expresses joy in growing old together with her husband who is just a year younger.

On Thursday, the 2nd of May, Victoria Beckham, who just turned 50, celebrated her husband David Beckham’s 49th birthday. She shared two photos on her Instagram account, one capturing David looking very happy leaning against Victoria at a restaurant and another photo showing David embracing her at Victoria’s birthday party. Victoria wrote, “Happy Birthday, David. I love growing old with you! There’s not much of a difference between us (just 16 days apart)!!! You are our everything!! The best father and husband, we both love you very much.”

Last year, David Beckham revealed that he once told Victoria, “You know what? One day you’ll be a grandmother.” “You know, we are getting older bit by bit…” At that time, Victoria seemed reluctant to hear about getting older, responding to David, “Don’t even go there!” Now, it seems their relationship has entered another phase of happily growing old together.

The singer and fashion designer, Victoria Beckham, also shared David Beckham’s birthday celebration activities through her Instagram stories. She posted pictures and videos of the room filled with birthday balloons, David shirtless showing off his abs, old photos of their younger selves, David blowing out birthday candles, and more. Victoria expressed, “I truly love you!!! Happy Birthday, David Beckham.”

Victoria and David Beckham tied the knot in July 1999. They met during one of David’s football matches at the peak of their careers in 1997 and got engaged a year later. This July, the couple will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. They have four children together, including Brooklyn Beckham (25 years old), Romeo Beckham (21 years old), Cruz Beckham (19 years old), and Harper Seven Beckham (12 years old).

Romeo Beckham posted a sweet photo of himself kissing his father when he was younger and wrote, “Happy birthday, Dad. Thanks for everything, love you always.”

With all their sons now adults, David Beckham recently requested his three sons to look after their little sister who is coming of age. In 2019, he shared his parenting journey and expressed how fast time flies, highlighting the uniqueness of being a parent. He mentioned that once you become a parent, it’s hard to prepare for the array of challenges that come with it. Ensuring the well-being of their children and being there for them is something he cherishes deeply.

David Beckham emphasized the constant worry and care that comes with parenthood, saying, “When you have kids, the minute they are born, you are constantly thinking, ‘Are they okay?’ You check them five or six times every night… Being there for your children is the best gift you can give them, that shows you care.”
