On November 11th (Tuesday), Veterans Day, New York City will hold its annual Veterans Day Parade to honor all those who have served in the United States military. The Falun Dafa Tian Guo Marching Band and Waist Drum Team, known for their dedication to defending freedom, will once again participate in the parade.
This year marks the 106th edition of the event, organized by the United War Veterans Council. The parade will take place on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, starting from 26th Street and ending at 45th Street. It is scheduled to kick off at 12:30 pm and conclude at 3:30 pm.
The New York Veterans Day Parade is one of the largest veterans’ commemorative events in the United States, with participation from veterans and active-duty personnel from various branches of the military, including the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard. Military organizations, youth cadet corps, marching bands, float displays, motorcycles, and vintage cars will also be part of the procession.
Organizers estimate that tens of thousands of people will participate in this year’s parade, with the expected audience along the route to exceed one million.
This year’s parade also commemorates the 250th anniversary of the start of the American Revolutionary War – a conflict that gave birth to the U.S. Army, Marine Corps, and Navy, symbolizing the spirit of America’s founding and the legacy of military dedication.
