Veteran Soldier Claims Joining the Party Was a Mistake, Hu Ping: The Chinese Communist Party is a Scam Group

On July 1st each year, the Global Quitting the Party Day, knowledgeable sources revealed a phenomenon of Chinese people eagerly quitting the party. Scholar Hu Ping stated that the Chinese Communist Party is a group of scammers.

“7.1” is the founding day of the Chinese Communist Party, which claimed that by the end of last year, the total number of party members had exceeded 100 million, reaching 127.1 million, making it the largest party in the world.

However, at the same time, “7.1” has also been designated as the “Global Quitting the Party Day”. Since the start of the global Quitting the CCP spiritual awakening movement in 2004, as of July 1, 2025, over 448 million people have used their real names or pseudonyms to withdraw from the CCP, Youth League, and Young Pioneers (the “Three Withdrawals”).

Volunteer Xiao Lian, who has long been helping people on the Chinese mainland to quit the party through the internet, told the Epoch Times on July 1 that despite increased phone and internet blockages by the CCP, people within China are still actively quitting. The exposure of the organ harvesting scandal at the Second Xiangya Hospital in Hunan involving Luo Shuaiyu’s death has made people realize the evil nature of the CCP.

“Many people are quitting one by one. Just yesterday, a mother quit the party first, and then all three of her children followed suit. High school students, elementary school students, and even kindergarten children who were forcibly enrolled in the Young Pioneers have all quit,” she said.

Of course, there are also some people with a “little pink” mentality who are unwilling to quit and are afraid to do so.

Xiao Lian said, “At first glance, many people seem to have been pulled into the CCP and become members, but on the other hand, there are university students who say that the most disliked class in their entire class is ideological and political education. Marxism, Xi Jinping Thought, everything is annoying, just studying for exams under duress.”

On the Global Quitting the Party Center website, many inspiring declarations of quitting the party are recorded every day. A look into the recent records of quitting the party declarations was taken by a reporter.

A person from Hong Kong wrote, “I am a witness of the June 4th Tiananmen Square massacre. The CCP army killed so many of our fellow students and even forced us surviving students to write a 5000-word essay ‘confession, critique.’ The media completely distorted the truth, deceived the public. At that moment, I realized the evil nature of the CCP. However, the CCP’s brutality and evil do not stop there! From harvesting organs of believers to harvesting organs of teenagers… the CCP’s various heinous crimes will inevitably lead to its destruction! I am grateful for the opportunity to repent before God. I solemnly declare to withdraw from the Young Pioneers and Communist Youth League of the CCP. Completely cut ties with the evil cult organization of the CCP, no longer have any dirty association!”

A declaration from Fujian stated, “During my youth, I was brainwashed by the CCP’s propaganda to join the Young Pioneers and Communist Youth League. Later, I went to Taiwan to study mass communication. At first, in Taiwan, I didn’t appreciate the freedom of speech and press that should have been, took it for granted. After completing my studies and returning to the mainland, I found that even simple activities like live streaming on the internet or posting on Weibo are subjected to strict control. Even opinions unrelated to criticizing the CCP system but affecting the interests of local listed companies are censored, only then did I realize the value of freedom. I regret my naive youth in joining the Young Pioneers and Communist Youth League of the CCP and my disregard for Taiwan’s democracy and freedom. I now declare to withdraw from the Young Pioneers and Communist Youth League.”

A high school student who chose to withdraw from the party said, “I am a high school student. Children in mainland China are exhausted every day as if they were being tortured. They wake up earlier than chickens and sleep later than dogs. Depending on where your household registration is, the difficulty level of the high school entrance exam varies. If your household registration is in places like Tibet, Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, Beijing, Shanghai, the difficulty is lower, but if in Hebei, Henan, it becomes even more difficult! Isn’t this blatant regional discrimination? The middle school entrance exam divides the students, directly depriving half of the children of the right to go to high school and receive higher education! Ironically, the pseudo-constitution of the CCP states that the citizens of the People’s Republic of China have the right to education. It’s ironic that a party leading the violation of its own constitution is called what? Evil party, demonic party, or what?”

On June 22, on the Global Quitting the Party Center website, a seventy-year-old veteran wrote in his quitting statement, “I am 76 years old, a retired soldier. I joined the army in 1972 and have been a party member for 52 years. I joined the army to serve the country and the people. I was part of a unit in the Central Guard Brigade responsible for defending Zhongnanhai. After five years, I returned home after retirement. In reality, the CCP has been corrupt generation after generation, and now it is a pot of foul-smelling gruel. Currently, people everywhere are talking about the corruption and incompetence of the CCP after dinner. Whether it’s old people, adults, or children, everyone is cursing the Party. The various evils of the CCP have enraged both humans and gods… Now that the evil party has run its course, and considering divine will, I firmly sever ties with the Communist Party, withdraw from this gang of ruffians and the evil cult organization, and strive to be a good son and daughter of the Chinese nation, not a descendant of Marx and Lenin. To seek divine protection!”

In mainland China, tens of thousands of retired soldiers have petitioned for their rights due to settlement issues but have faced suppression from the CCP authorities. A video posted by overseas account “Yesterday” on June 10 showed that on June 9, in the lobby of Jingjiang Railway Station in Jiangsu, several special police were checking some veteran petitioners.

One veteran filmed on the spot shouted mockingly, “I now admit a mistake to my comrades. I regret being a soldier, I regret my 15 years as a soldier, I regret joining the party, I admit it to my comrades. I admit it to the leaders of Jingjiang City Committee. I regret being a soldier, I regret joining the party!”

On July 1, overseas scholar Hu Ping posted on X stating that the Chinese Communist Party is a group of scammers.

Hu Ping wrote that there was a political joke in the former Soviet Union that said: “Honesty, intelligence, and Communist Party members cannot coexist. If a person is both honest and intelligent, then they are definitely not a Communist Party member; if they are both honest and a Communist Party member, then they are definitely not intelligent; if they are both intelligent and a Communist Party member, then they are definitely not honest. “For today’s China, ‘intelligence’ can be completely excluded. We can say that in today’s China, honesty and Communist Party members cannot coexist. If a person is honest, then they are definitely not a Communist Party member; if a person is a Communist Party member, then they are definitely not honest.”

Hu Ping further wrote, “Isn’t this clear enough? Let’s not talk about anything else, just the first sentence in the general principles of the ‘Chinese Communist Party Constitution’ is: ‘The Chinese Communist Party is the vanguard of the Chinese working class.’ If someone believed this statement twenty or thirty years ago, then today, even a fool knows it’s a big lie. If you, as a Communist Party member, accept this massive lie without question and swear allegiance to it, what honesty is left? Based on this, who dares to say the CCP is not a group of scammers?”
