Vermont and Rhode Island Governors Congratulate President of the Republic of China on Inauguration

As the president-elect of the Republic of China (Taiwan), Tsai Ing-wen, and vice president-elect Lai Ching-te are set to take office on May 20th, Governor Philip B. Scott of Vermont and Governor Daniel J. McKee of Rhode Island recently presented congratulatory messages to the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Boston to mark this auspicious occasion.

Meanwhile, state legislatures in the New England region, including Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont, have also passed resolutions applauding Taiwan for successfully completing its democratic elections. They extend their congratulations to President-elect Tsai and Vice President-elect Lai on their victory and forthcoming inauguration.
