US Department of Homeland Security offers generous rewards to recruit ICE agents, strengthening law enforcement.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in the United States launched a new recruitment campaign on Tuesday, July 29, as announced on its official website. The campaign is aimed at recruiting “brave and heroic” Americans to join the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency, becoming federal law enforcement officers to “remove the worst criminal illegal immigrants from the streets of America”.

The announcement criticized the “failed immigration policies of the Biden administration” and called on “loyal men and women” to join ICE to “kick out the worst criminals from our country”.

The announcement quoted DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, stating, “This is a pivotal moment in our nation’s history. Your skills, experience, and courage have never been more important. We must join hands to defend our homeland.”

In order to incentivize this recruitment drive, ICE will offer a robust federal law enforcement rewards package, including:

– A signing bonus of up to $50,000;
– Student loan repayment and exemption options;
– 25% Law Enforcement Availability Pay (LEAP) for Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) special agents;
– Administratively Uncontrollable Overtime (AUI) for Enforcement Removal Operations (ERO) deportation officers;
– Enhanced retirement benefits.

The announcement mentioned that with the substantial new funding support provided in the recently signed “One Big Beautiful Bill”, ICE will roll out patriotic recruitment posters to attract a new generation of law enforcement professionals to carry out the mission of locating, apprehending, and removing criminal illegal aliens. Recruitment materials will be distributed nationwide in major cities, college campuses, job fairs, and law enforcement networks starting this week.

ICE encourages Americans who are committed to public safety, national service, and upholding the rule of law to apply immediately and embark on a fulfilling career in federal law enforcement.
