Typhoon Yangliu hits Taiwan, list of closures on 14th.

Taiwan’s Central Weather Bureau announced that Typhoon Yangliu’s center had headed out to sea near Qigu, Tainan at around 4 p.m. on the 13th. The current position of the center is off the northwest coast of Tainan and is expected to move in a northwesterly direction.

Typhoon Yangliu’s storm circle is currently enveloping the land areas of Taitung, Hualien, Nantou, Miaoli and southward to Penghu. The eastern and southern regions, along with Chiayi and southward, are experiencing continuous wind and rain. The Personnel Administration Office of the Executive Yuan has issued information on work and school suspensions for various regions in Taiwan on the 14th as follows:
