Taiwan Central Weather Bureau announced at 5:30 p.m. today (October 31) that Super Typhoon Kangray has weakened to a moderate typhoon, with the diameter of the storm circle slightly reduced. The current center is located northwest of Chiayi, and it is expected to move northward and then shift to north-northeast. The storm circle is currently affecting Taiwan, as well as Penghu, Kinmen, and Matsu. Strong winds and rain persist across the region, so residents are advised to remain vigilant and take precautions against strong winds and heavy rain.
