The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recently issued a nationwide alert to Amazon customers regarding two products with safety risks that are being recalled and must be stopped from use immediately.
One of them is a limited edition five-drawer vanity produced by Shenzhen Quanyuanfa Trading Co. Ltd. of China under the brand name Bealife. This product has been recalled due to risks of tipping over and entrapment, as announced on Thursday, October 23.
The other product is the Bio Ionic one-inch barrel curling iron produced by J & D Brush Co. LLC based in New York. This product may pose a burn risk and was also recalled on Thursday.
The CPSC reminds consumers that the Bealife vanity violates the STURDY Act’s mandatory standards for item storage units, stating that the product “if not secured to a wall, may be unstable, leading to severe tipping over and entrapment risks, causing harm or death to children.”
Regarding the curling iron, the CPSC pointed out, “The roller on the curling iron may break off, posing a burn risk to consumers.”

The curling iron has a black handle and black barrel, measuring approximately 15.8 inches long, 2.87 inches high, and 1.65 inches wide.

As of October 23, the product has received 158 reports of roller detachment, including six cases of minor burn injuries.
In a statement regarding the vanity recall, the CPSC emphasized, “If the recalled product is not anchored to a wall, consumers should stop using it immediately and place it out of reach of children. To protect children from fatal tipping accidents, compliance with mandatory stability standards is essential.”
Consumers who purchased the Bealife vanity series should contact Bealife for handling instructions and provide photos of the handling process via email to receive a full refund.
Consumers who purchased the curling iron should contact Bio Ionic to register for free replacement service. Consumers are required to cut off the power plug and use a prepaid shipping label to return the plug to the company.
