In a critical moment before the 2024 election, Donald Trump visited a McDonald’s and personally fried french fries for McDonald’s customers, leaving a “iconic” scene for this highly publicized campaign event.
According to Fox Nation’s documentary “The Art of the Surge” released on Friday, June 6th, last year on October 20th, Republican candidate Trump visited a McDonald’s restaurant in Feasterville, Pennsylvania, took off his suit, put on an apron, and walked into the kitchen to personally experience frying french fries.
“I’ve always wanted to work at McDonald’s, but never had the chance,” he told his McDonald’s “colleagues.”
Cameras captured his entire “first day at work”: from operating the fryer, shaking the basket, to putting the hot fries into the red box, sprinkling salt, he personally took every step. He even stood at the drive-thru window to personally hand meals to customers and joked, “This is the best meal you’ve ever had, hopefully — that I made.”
This scene quickly became a classic moment in the campaign process — a former New York real estate tycoon who later took over the White House as president, experiencing grassroots work that many Americans have done.
At the time, there were only two weeks left until Trump faced off against Democratic opponent Kamala Harris in the final election showdown, and supporters on site enthusiastically cheered, “Make America great again!”
“45 → 47, you can do it!” (meaning Trump would return to the White House as the 47th president after his 45th term)
Trump also occasionally stopped to wave and acknowledge supporters outside the store waving “Trump-Pence” signs. He told reporters, “Their faces are full of smiles because they’re eager for hope.”
Back in the kitchen, he said to the camera, “I could do this all day. I don’t mind this job.”
After the event ended, Trump left on a private jet. His deputy spokesperson, Margo Martin, sighed, “It’s so classic. Trump working at McDonald’s will be legendary.”
In the end, Trump defeated Kamala Harris in the 2024 election, sweeping all swing states including Pennsylvania.
