Trump’s granddaughter Kai to join Miami University’s golf team.

Former President Donald Trump’s granddaughter, Kai Trump, announced on Sunday (August 18) that she will be joining the University of Miami’s golf team. She expressed gratitude towards her grandfather for his assistance and support in this endeavor.

In a post on her Instagram account on Sunday, Kai wrote, “I am very excited to announce my verbal commitment to the University of Miami. I want to thank my mom Vanessa and dad Don for their unwavering support throughout my journey. I also want to express my gratitude to my amazing team who have helped me reach this milestone. And a special thank you to my grandfather for providing me with the opportunity to experience great golf courses and for his immense support.”

The Miami Hurricanes women’s golf team also shared Kai’s post on Instagram.

At 17 years old, Kai gained attention at the Republican National Convention last month. Despite being relatively unknown prior to the event, she delivered a speech during the four-day event in Milwaukee, adding to the grandeur of her grandfather’s nomination as the 2024 presidential candidate.

Kai is the eldest daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and his ex-wife Vanessa, and the oldest among President Trump’s grandchildren. Given her young age, her unexpected appearance at the Republican Convention garnered significant interest. Her father mentioned that shortly after her grandfather survived an assassination attempt, she expressed her desire to speak at the convention.

During her speech, Kai shared some personal insights about Trump’s everyday life. She told the audience, “I am here today to share a side of my grandfather that is not known to many. To me, he is just a regular grandpa. When our parents aren’t looking, he gives us candy and soda. He always wants to know how we are doing in school.”

“I understand his character. He cares deeply for others, is very compassionate, and genuinely wants the best for this country. He fights every day to make America great again,” she told the audience.

Kai is currently a junior in high school, attending the prestigious Benjamin School in North Palm Beach, Florida.

Like her grandfather, Kai has a passion for golf, often sharing photos online showcasing her participation in the sport, some of which feature her alongside her grandfather. It is said that she has also competed with some renowned golf stars.
