On November 29, 2025, President Trump announced his decision to abolish all documents signed by former President Joe Biden using an Autopen.
President Trump made this declaration on Friday, November 28, through the social media platform “Truth Social.” He stated that all documents signed by President Biden using an Autopen have been declared null and void, rendering them ineffective.
According to President Trump, approximately 92% of the documents signed by President Biden were done so using an Autopen, a machine that automatically signs documents. President Trump emphasized that the use of an Autopen without explicit approval from the President of the United States is not allowed.
President Trump had previously ordered an investigation into Biden’s alleged use of an Autopen. According to reports from NPR, the Autopen is a machine used for automatically signing documents, and it has been used at the White House for an extended period.
Republicans have claimed that President Biden, being over 80 years old at the time of leaving office, experienced cognitive decline, leading staff members from his administration to utilize the Autopen for signing executive orders and legislation.
President Trump proclaimed, “I hereby declare that all executive orders and other documents not directly signed by Biden are invalid because it is illegal for someone else to operate the signing pen.”
Furthermore, the President stated that if the former President lies about the use of the Autopen, he will be charged with perjury.
