Trump to Meet with Indian Prime Minister Modi Next Week

Former US President Trump has announced that Indian Prime Minister Modi plans to meet with him next week, amid efforts by various countries to address the possibility of the Republican Party returning to power after the November election.

“This coming week, Modi is coming. He’s a great guy,” the Republican presidential candidate said at a municipal hall meeting in Flint, Michigan on Tuesday, September 17, revealing the upcoming meeting while discussing issues related to free trade and protecting American jobs.

The Trump campaign team did not immediately respond to Bloomberg’s request for details about the meeting.

Modi is set to visit the United States this weekend, where he will attend a quad leadership summit in Delaware hosted by President Biden. Modi is expected to deliver a speech on the “Future Summit” at the United Nations General Assembly in New York on the 23rd.

Trump has already met with several world leaders this year, including Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban and Polish President Andrzej Duda.

In 2020, during his presidency, Trump visited India, where Modi rolled out the red carpet for him, including organizing an event at a cricket stadium and welcoming over 100,000 people to greet Trump.

This meeting between Trump and Modi comes at a crucial time as the political landscape continues to evolve globally, with leaders and officials engaging in diplomatic efforts and discussions. It highlights the importance of diplomatic relations and international cooperation in addressing key issues facing nations around the world.
