Trump releases latest health report: Physical condition “excellent”

On October 13, 2024, the news director of the Trump campaign team, Steven Cheung, issued a statement on Saturday (October 12) in response to concerns about Trump’s health.

In the statement, Cheung said, “President Trump voluntarily released his latest health report, as well as a detailed health report written by his attending physician, Ronny Jackson, after the first assassination attempt. All reports consider his health to be excellent, fully capable of serving as the Commander in Chief of a country. His campaign schedule has been extremely busy and intense, unprecedented in political history.”

Cheung included three links in the statement, two transcripts of letters from Dr. Jackson and a letter from Trump’s private physician, all stating that Trump’s overall health condition is “excellent.”

Earlier that day, the White House released the health report of Democratic presidential candidate and Vice President, Kamala Harris, with the doctor stating that she is in good health and suitable for senior positions.

Dr. Joshua Simmons stated in the memo that Harris had “no abnormalities” in her latest check-up in April. Despite her busy schedule, she maintains an active lifestyle, including daily exercise and a “very healthy” diet. She does not smoke and drinks alcohol “occasionally and moderately.” Her medical history includes records of seasonal allergies and hives.

The doctor wrote that Harris is a “healthy 59-year-old woman” with the physical and mental resilience required to successfully perform the duties of President, including those of Chief Executive, Head of State, and Commander in Chief.

With less than a month left until the presidential election day in the United States, Trump and Harris remain neck and neck in support in seven swing states. Recently, Harris’s campaign team has been eager to emphasize Trump’s age and on Saturday they released Harris’s health report to prove her readiness for the position.

Prior to this, Trump has also been proactive. During an interview with CBS in August, Trump expressed his willingness to release his medical records to prove that he is still in good shape and fit for the job.
