Trump Excludes Possibility of Inviting JPMorgan CEO Dimon to Cabinet

US President-elect Trump (Donald Trump) has ruled out the possibility of inviting Jamie Dimon, CEO of JPMorgan Chase, to join his administration.

“I have great respect for Jamie Dimon of JPMorgan Chase, but he will not be invited to join the Trump administration. I appreciate the outstanding contributions Jamie has made for our country!” Trump posted on his “Social Truth” platform on Thursday (November 14).

Shortly after, Dimon, who attended the APEC CEO Summit in Peru, responded.

“First of all, I wish the President-elect all the best, thank you, this is very nice message. But I also want to tell the President-elect that I have been living without a boss for 25 years, I am not ready to start working for anyone,” Dimon said.

Trump had mentioned in a Bloomberg Businessweek interview in June that he would consider appointing Dimon as the Treasury Secretary, but later denied the claim.

Trump’s campaign team is narrowing down the choices for the Treasury Secretary and is expected to make a decision as soon as this week.

Dimon stated that the new administration “will be responsible for addressing the most complex geopolitical, military, and geo-economic situations faced by the world since World War II.”

Dimon also pledged to work with whoever is elected. His wife, Judy Dimon, supports He Jinli (Kamala Harris) in the presidential race, donating to her campaign and personally campaigning for her in the swing state of Michigan.
