Trump: Election nears end, no longer debating with Harris.

On October 10, 2024, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump rejected an invitation from Fox News for another debate with his Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton. Trump stated that with the 2024 election nearing its end and Clinton showing no intention of deviating from Biden’s policies, he saw no need for further debates.

In a post on the Truth Social platform, Trump reiterated in all caps that he had already won two debates. He mentioned that he had agreed to debate Clinton on September 4 as proposed by Fox News, but Clinton declined the offer. As the election entered its final stages and early voting began across states, Trump refused to engage in another debate with Clinton.

Trump claimed, “I won the last two debates, one against the distorted Joe and one against the lies of Hillary. I accepted Fox’s invitation for a debate on September 4 with her, but she declined. My partner JD Vance easily won the debate against the self-proclaimed idiot Tim Walz!”

“I am also maintaining a lead in the polls, increasing my advantage by the day, leading in all swing states.”

Trump continued, “The first thing a fighter does after losing a match is to demand a rematch. However, with the election reaching its end and voting already underway, there will be no rematch! Moreover, Hillary Clinton made it clear yesterday that she will not make any changes different from Joe Biden, so there is nothing to debate. Thank you for your attention to this issue!”

On Wednesday, Fox News invited Trump and Clinton to debate on either October 24 or October 27, to be moderated by the network’s journalists Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum.

Clinton accepted the invitation for the debate.
