Trump declares Israel to halt attacks on Iran: All planes will return.

On June 24, 2025, President Donald Trump stated that Israel will not launch further attacks on Iran, announcing that “all aircraft will be returning” and sending a friendly gesture of “waving planes” to the Iranian side.

In a post on the social media platform “Truth Social,” Trump emphasized, “No one will be harmed, the ceasefire agreement is in effect! Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

Earlier, Trump accused both Israel and Iran of violating the ceasefire agreement he had announced just a few hours prior, expressing dissatisfaction with Israel’s subsequent initiation of a new round of airstrikes on Tehran.

“Israel, stop the bombing! If you do so, you are seriously violating the agreement. Have your pilots return home now!” He issued the warning through “Truth Social” before boarding a plane to the Netherlands to attend the NATO summit. Outside the White House, Trump also told reporters, “I am not happy with either side, especially Israel. We just finalized the agreement, and they started dropping bombs, the quantity of which I have never seen before.”

He further criticized the long-standing conflict between Israel and Iran for leading to an out-of-control situation: “They have been fighting for too long, too intensely, to the point where they no longer know what they are doing.”

Earlier, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that due to Iran’s violation of the ceasefire agreement by launching missiles, the IDF has been ordered to once again attack targets in Tehran. However, Iran denied launching any missiles, instead accusing Israel of continuing airstrikes for 90 minutes after the ceasefire had taken effect.

According to Reuters, despite the accusations of both Israel and Iran for violating the ceasefire agreement at one point, relief was expressed in the Middle East and around the world for the possibility of stepping out of the shadow of war. Reza Sharifi, a 38-year-old Iranian man, told Reuters that he had fled with his family from Tehran to Rasht along the shores of the Caspian Sea to avoid the airstrikes. He said, “We are happy, very happy. It doesn’t matter who mediated or how it happened. War should never have begun.”

Arik Daimant, a software engineer from Tel Aviv, said, “It may be too late for me and my family; our house was bombed into rubble last Sunday. But as the saying goes, ‘better late than never,’ I hope this ceasefire can bring a fresh start.”

Earlier that day, Trump also posted a brief message: “Ceasefire now in effect, do not violate it!”

In addition, Trump is currently on his way to the Netherlands to attend the NATO summit held from June 24 to 25, the first leadership-level meeting of the organization in the Netherlands. The summit is expected to approve a new round of defense investment plans and, following Trump’s proposal, raise the target of military spending from 2% to 5% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for each country.
