Trump completes annual check-up and claims to have answered all cognitive tests correctly.

On April 12, 2025, President Donald Trump of the United States stated that he underwent his annual physical examination on Friday, April 11, which lasted for about four hours. During the examination, he completed a cognitive test and claimed to have answered “all correctly.” Trump mentioned that the test was similar to ones he had taken before and that he wanted to do it again to “be different from Biden.”

“I took a cognitive test, and I don’t know how to say it; anyway, I answered every question correctly,” Trump told reporters on Air Force One en route to Florida.

In response to reporters’ questions, Trump mentioned that the test was similar to previous cognitive exams he had taken, which involved repeating certain words to evaluate memory.

He expressed willingness to undergo the test because he “wanted to be different from Biden.”

During last year’s U.S. presidential election, questions regarding the president’s physical fitness and health transparency became a focal point, ultimately leading to Biden’s withdrawal from the race. There were external doubts about Biden’s mental capacity and suspicions that his aides were deliberately concealing his health condition.

“It’s a pretty famous test, whatever it is, and I aced it—I got them all right,” Trump said, also mentioning that he had taken such tests four times in the past.

Trump believed overall that this year’s annual physical examination conducted by his private physician, Navy Colonel Sean Barbabella, was “not bad” and mentioned receiving some health advice from the medical team. He stated that the examination results would be made public on Sunday.

“Overall, I feel very good. I have a good heart, a strong soul, very, very good.” Trump said.

The examination took place at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Washington, D.C.

This was Trump’s first physical examination during his second term. At the age of 78, he is the oldest president to assume office in American history.

For a long time, Trump has been relatively conservative about disclosing his health condition. During his previous term, Trump had postponed his first physical examination for over a year.
