It is anticipated that Trump will officially receive the Republican nomination for the 2024 presidential election at the convention starting on Monday.
In a statement on the social media platform “Truth Social,” Trump mentioned that he had initially considered delaying his trip to Wisconsin and participation in the convention for two days due to safety concerns but eventually decided not to allow attackers or potential assassins to disrupt his schedule. He confirmed his visit to Milwaukee as planned and headed there on Sunday afternoon.
Trump’s aide, Dan Scavino, reassured followers on X that Trump is doing well and looking forward to the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee. He expressed Trump’s gratitude for the prayers, support, and well-wishes received, adding, “Heading to the great state of Wisconsin!” A video of Trump’s motorcade at the airport was also shared by Scavino.
Echoing Trump’s sentiments earlier that day, Scavino emphasized the importance of unity in these challenging times, urging Americans to exhibit their true character and resilience, thwarting evil forces. He expressed genuine love for the country and its people, anticipating delivering a speech in Wisconsin this week.

The shooting incident targeting Trump has been classified as an attempted assassination case by the FBI, with a 20-year-old Pennsylvania man using an AR-15 rifle to open fire from a rooftop, resulting in one fatality and three injuries.
President Biden issued instructions to investigate the gunman’s background, and the FBI is currently assessing whether the assassination attempt was potentially a form of domestic terrorism.
The Secret Service stated on Sunday that there are no plans to enhance security measures for the Republican National Convention, asserting confidence in the existing safety arrangements. Coordinator Audrey Gibson-Cicchino highlighted the meticulous 18-month planning process involving contributions from all levels of government to ensure operational security for the event.
Federal officials affirmed that there are no indications of increased danger at the convention following the shooting incident.
Michael Hensle from the FBI Milwaukee Field Office mentioned that there are currently no specific threats known targeting the Republican National Convention or its attendees.
The Republican National Convention is scheduled to take place from July 15th to 18th in Milwaukee, where not only Trump’s nomination as the presidential candidate will be confirmed but also a new party platform will be adopted and made public.
