Truck Rear-End Collision Causes Explosion on Zhejiang Expressway, Reports of People Trapped

Early in the morning of April 28th around 5 o’clock, a vehicle rear-end collision occurred on the S28 Taizhou section of the Zhejiang Taizhou highway, triggering a vehicle explosion. According to witnesses, some people were trapped.

A video circulating on the internet shows thick smoke at the scene, with a large fire and explosions audible. Witnesses in the video mentioned that there were people trapped inside the vehicle and had not come out.

As reported by the public’s attention, the rear-end collision involved two large trucks, causing a violent explosion after the trucks caught fire, with the burning point being at the front of one of the trucks, and scattered goods at the scene.

According to the driver of the truck that was hit, he was climbing a slope at that time and saw the other vehicle approaching at a high speed, he couldn’t do anything but tried to move aside, however, “he suddenly rammed into the back of my truck.”

As of around 11 o’clock, the road section where the accident occurred has resumed traffic, as reported by Xingdao Net. However, the police have not yet disclosed casualty information or the specific cause of the accident.
