Top 10 Remote Jobs in Demand with Highest Annual Salary of $170,000

During the pandemic, a large number of employees had to work remotely. However, even after the pandemic, many workers still prefer to work from home, and some job seekers hope to find positions that allow remote work. According to the latest research by Indeed, the most popular remote work companies are recruiting talents beyond the IT industry, including professionals in real estate, healthcare, and even forensic science fields.

Despite various indicators suggesting a shrinking remote job market and remote workers being the easiest targets for layoffs, Indeed’s report reveals that there is still a high number of remote job postings on their platform. From March 2023 to March 2024, the number of remote job vacancies on the job search website increased by 40%.

Gabrielle Davis, an occupational trends expert at Indeed, pointed out that in certain industries such as technology, finance, and human resources, the number of remote job postings may decrease. However, she emphasized the importance of considering the context in which this trend is occurring. Davis highlighted that this trend may not necessarily indicate a shift in employers’ attitudes towards remote work but rather reflect industries most severely impacted by a slowdown in the labor market.

Davis told CNBC’s “Make It” program that at the same time, positions traditionally thought to require in-person work, such as document reviewers or forensic analysts, are becoming some of the most sought-after remote job positions by employers.

“I believe that as companies continue to assess their business operations and performance, we will see more jobs that used to be face-to-face transitioning to hybrid or remote work,” he said.

According to data shared exclusively by Indeed with “CNBC Make It,” document reviewers responsible for reviewing various reports, including legal and medical documents such as patient records or court cases, are currently the most in-demand remote professionals by companies.

Indeed analyzed remote recruitment data from January to April 2024 to identify the 10 most popular remote job positions companies are currently hiring for.
