On April 20th last week, the Tian Le Language School in Burlingame, located on the Peninsula, held a ceremony to unveil the “Taiwanese Center for Mandarin Learning (TCML)”. As the first Mandarin learning center on the Peninsula, Tian Le Language School promotes traditional culture, makes friends from all over the world, and enjoys a great reputation in the local community.

During their speeches, Director Lai Mingqi of the San Francisco Office and Director Zhuang Yashu of the Bay Area Cultural and Educational Center both emphasized that language communication is an important means of communication for people. Learning Mandarin in the United States can not only help in work but also broaden social circles. Learning Chinese at Tian Le Language School is full of fun. Through learning Mandarin, one gradually understands traditional culture and experiences the joy of mutual enrichment.

In an interview with Epoch Times, Mr. Ye Yunhe, a board member of Tian Le Language School, revealed, “The Chinese courses offered by the school are for adults over 18 years old. Classes are held twice a week, with online sessions on Monday evenings and classroom sessions on Wednesday evenings. Students are always enthusiastic and have a high level of interest in learning, with no absences.”

Student Maria Vazquez told Epoch Times, “My son is learning Chinese here, and as I listen to him reading Chinese at home, I am also very interested and have come to enroll in classes. Now, not only do I greet my son in Chinese, but when I meet Chinese people, I also speak some Chinese, which makes it easier for me to make friends. I find it very interesting and exciting! I look forward to visiting Taiwan in the future, experiencing the Chinese language and culture there!”

The unveiling ceremony was kicked off with a lion dance performance by the FASCA Youth, accompanied by lively drumming and cymbals. During the event, the FASCA Youth also showcased their diabolo skills, with a fast-paced and energetic rhythm.
