The Republic of China Veterans Association to Hold Appreciation Banquet.

The Retired Veterans Association of the Republic of China held a thanksgiving banquet at Pier 8 in the city of San Gabriel, Southern California on May 18. The association’s chairman, Yang Zhen-nan, highlighted the successful hosting of the “Huangpu Military Academy Centennial Celebration and Alumni Reunion Song and Dance Performance” on May 5, which commemorated the sacrifices and contributions made by the Armed Forces of the Republic of China in safeguarding Taiwan’s security and fostering its prosperity over the past 70 years. All male and female singers who participated in the May 5 performance were invited to attend the banquet and were presented with certificates of appreciation.

Distinguished guests at the event included former Ambassador of the Republic of China to the United States and Honorary Chairman of the association, Yuan Jiansheng; Jiang Qiguang from Weibo Culture Company; Chen Guidong, Founder of the Indo-Pacific Research Center; former Kinmen County Magistrate General Lin Dezhen; President of the Chinese-American Dance Association Lai Yangxuan; President of the Los Angeles Overseas Chinese Emergency Assistance Association Liu Huanjun; President of the Taiwanese American Chamber of Commerce Ye Yilan; veteran journalist Jiang Tianduo; Overseas Chinese Affairs Commissioners Yu Renhao, Zhao Yunmei; Overseas Chinese Affairs Advisory Commissioner Yang Jiagan; and Yuan Lu.
