The new president of the Chamber of Commerce takes the helm, aiming for new heights.

The Northern California Taiwan Chamber of Commerce held a presidential handover ceremony on May 19th in Cupertino, California, where Huang Junzhao succeeded Wang Ruoyi as the new president.

The evening event attracted over a hundred attendees, including Lai Mingqi, Director of the Taiwan Affairs Office in San Francisco, Chuang Yashu, Director of the San Francisco Bay Area Overseas Chinese Cultural and Educational Center, Guo Huizhen and Chen Ailan from the Taiwan Affairs Office in San Francisco, Lin Gui-Xiang and his wife, Honorary President of the World Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce, as well as Overseas Community Affairs Commissioner Wu Yiming and local elected officials.

With the witness of Director Lai Mingqi and Lin Gui-Xiang, outgoing president Daisy Wang handed over the seal and documents to the new president Jake Huang. Director Chuang Yashu read a letter of thanks from committee chairman Xu Jiaqing to Wang Ruoyi and a congratulatory message to Huang Junzhao.

Wang Ruoyi expressed that during her term, she had built a rich network and organized many meaningful charity events. She believed that joining the Chamber of Commerce not only helped her make more friends but also allowed her to contribute to the community and promote her own career. She encouraged Taiwanese compatriots to actively participate in community activities.

Director Lai Mingqi stated that being a leader of an overseas community organization is a volunteer role that requires dedication and financial support.

Over the past year, the overseas community has witnessed the growth of a young president. He admired the Chamber of Commerce for allowing young people to take on leadership roles, gain experience, prepare for future responsibilities, and make greater contributions to the community.

Chuang Yashu mentioned that the Northern California Taiwan Chamber of Commerce plays a vital role as a government ally in promoting economic and trade diplomacy. She thanked outgoing president Wang Ruoyi for her dedication and looked forward to new president Huang Junzhao bringing more contributions to the Chamber of Commerce to further enhance exchanges between Taiwan and the United States.

New president Huang Junzhao expressed his hopes of helping the Chamber of Commerce members excel in their businesses and creating broader opportunities, emphasizing the importance of not only making money but also maintaining good health.

The event also featured a handover ceremony for the Young Entrepreneurs Association, where the 19th president Samantha Kong handed over the responsibilities to the 20th president Jerry Hsieh.
