The movie “Surpassing Limits” screened at the US Capitol Building

A mix of melodious and powerful piano sounds fills the performance hall, as a teenage girl of Canadian and Chinese descent plays wholeheartedly. Meanwhile, her Chinese mother in the audience briefly checks her phone, her expression changing suddenly, and she hurriedly leaves her seat – her Canadian husband, the girl’s father, has just been arrested by Chinese Communist authorities.

This heart-pounding scene from the movie “Unrestricted War” unfolded on July 31st at the Rayburn Building in the United States Congress, captivating the audience. The film revolves around a Canadian virus scientist and his family forced to flee China, intertwining with events like Meng Wanzhou, the Wuhan COVID-19 outbreak, and whistleblower Dr. Li Wenliang, exposing the truth of how the CCP distorts humanity, kidnaps foreign scientists, and steals foreign research secrets through unrestricted warfare tactics. The film features a fast-paced rhythm, gripping plot twists, and intense emotional resonance.

During a panel discussion at the movie screening, the film director and other key figures shared their stories, interpretations, and post-viewing reflections on the film.

Director Ma Yan, of Chinese descent, revealed to the media that the film was originally planned for a nationwide release in Canada but was abruptly pulled from theaters the day before ticket sales. Theater executives remained tight-lipped about the reasons behind the removal.

Ma Yan shared that due to making this film, a family member in China had their income cut off by the CCP for nearly two years.

“Our film is called ‘Unrestricted War.’ In reality, this is also a manifestation of ‘Unrestricted War’ in real life,” Ma Yan explained.

He emphasized that the film tells a story from a human perspective, where many characters “have paid a high price to convey the truth.”

“I hope that after watching the film, when faced with such difficult decisions in real life, people can make the right choice,” Ma Yan expressed.

Actress Uni Park, who portrays General Chen in the film, described her experience as emotionally charged and highly challenging.

“She is a ‘puppet’ carved by the (CCP) system, a designed ‘template character’,” Park said. “She has been shaped by the regime into a weapon – knowing how to manipulate people using sorrow, fear, and loyalty.”

“What interests me the most is the conflicts she bears inside – contradictions, secrets, pain, but never allowed to release,” Park remarked. “She represents individuals robbed of innocence, loyalty, and love by the (CCP) regime.”

She stated that the movie “Unrestricted War” highlights that “the danger is not the (Chinese) people but the regime that fears the freedom of the people.”

Dr. Lin Xiaoxu, co-founder of the Chinese Bioweapon Threat Initiative and former U.S. Army microbiologist, emphasized, “We are already in a war, a war of Unrestricted Warfare happening in the United States.”

“This film is truly important, placing it at the forefront of the cognitive battle against the CCP. I congratulate the production team of this film and all the actors involved,” Lin added.

He mentioned that in 2016, CCP leader Xi Jinping established the “Military-Civil Fusion Development Commission,” with one of its purposes being to advance bioweapon development.

“Under ‘Military-Civil Fusion,’ many civilian research institutions can conduct dual-use research, meaning projects that can be used for developing bioweapons,” Dr. Lin explained.

Dr. Lin highlighted that AI technology enables the easy design of engineered microorganisms, to design, manufacture, and produce suitable bioweapons swiftly.

“They (CCP) can use AI-assisted programs to design dangerous pathogens, quickly analyze how to make it more infectious, more pathogenic, and evade immune system recognition – all can be rapidly designed and then produced,” he stressed.

Another threat is the concept of “Mirror Life.”

Dr. Lin noted that scientists from Hangzhou West Lake University in China recently published a study demonstrating their ability to design and create mirror versions of proteins and enzymes. They are nearing the comprehensive production of “Mirror Life” technology.

“The threat of this technology is akin to nuclear weapon capabilities in the field of biotechnology,” Dr. Lin cautioned.

“They (CCP) are like a research gang, developing these technologies together. We are in an extremely dangerous situation now. If the U.S. does not immediately halt such research and take a clear stand, it will lead to a catastrophic disaster,” he warned.

Dr. Joe Wang, President of Canada’s New Tang Dynasty Television, who worked for ten years at the world’s largest vaccine company and led the SARS vaccine development project, shared a sobering account during the panel discussion.

“Under the rule of the Chinese Communist Party, there is no such thing as medical research for ‘non-military purposes’,” Dr. Wang said.

He recounted a colleague who left vaccine research work only to return to China, attempting to establish a joint Canadian-Chinese vaccine development and production company to provide a new coronavirus vaccine for both countries.

In October 2020, when he tried to transport the vaccines from China to Canada as per the agreement, the Chinese military intercepted the batch at the airport, claiming the vaccines as property of the Chinese military.

“In China under the rule of the CCP, there is no such thing as ‘non-military use’ in medical research,” Dr. Wang stressed.

“Every scientific discovery, every breakthrough, can be transformed into tools to serve the (CCP) Liberation Army.”

“I hope President Trump can also understand this: the Chinese people are honest and hardworking, but the CCP is not. You can never trust the CCP,” he added.

Former Acting Assistant Secretary of Defense Frank Gaffney stated, “The film is absolutely stunning. Whether in terms of technical prowess, actors’ performances, or storyline, it’s truly shocking.”

“The significance of this film cannot be overstated because we are in an Unrestricted Warfare with the CCP.”

“Currently, we are considering signing a new tariff agreement with the CCP, and no one knows what it will entail. But the CCP will not comply with that agreement, just as it has never complied with the Biological Weapons Treaty or the numerous treaties and trade agreements signed with us and other countries, the CCP is not trustworthy,” Gaffney emphasized.

The film reveals the truth about “the party that governs, oppresses, and slaughters the Chinese people,” he concluded.

Casey Fleming, Chairman and CEO of Risk Consultancy firm BlackOps Partners, praised the film, stating, “This is an excellent movie. The pacing is very fast and definitely worth your time to watch.”

He highlighted that the Unrestricted War depicted in the film is one of over 150 Unrestricted Warfare methods of the CCP. “Remember, this is just the tip of the iceberg.”

Jonathan, working in a congressional oversight committee, remarked after viewing the film, “I noticed many details in the movie. People will love this film and learn a lot from it.”

“People should realize that what is happening around them, in China, those events could impact their lives and their future,” Jonathan added.
