On April 22nd, Liu Jianmao, the Organization Minister of the Puyang Municipal Committee in Henan Province, was officially placed under investigation. Just a day before, Jin Hao, the Deputy Secretary of the Nanyang Municipal Committee and Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee, was also removed from his position. A few days ago, the Fifth Inspection Team of the CPC Central Committee had just entered Henan Province.
According to the report from the Henan Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection of the CPC, Liu Jianmao, a member of the Puyang Municipal Committee and Minister of the Organization Department, is suspected of serious violations of discipline and law and is currently under investigation.
Public records show that Liu Jianmao had worked in the Organization Department of the Henan Provincial Committee, serving as the Director of the Talent Work Department. In October 2023, he was appointed as the head of the 19th Inspection Team of the Henan Provincial Committee, and in February 2024, he became the head of the 10th Inspection Team of the Henan Provincial Committee.
In September 2024, Liu Jianmao took up the post as a member of the Puyang Municipal Committee and Minister of the Organization Department, before being investigated this time.
Of note is that according to a message from the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission website on April 17th, the Fifth Inspection Team of the Central Committee had entered Henan Province. The team is expected to conduct inspections in the province for approximately two and a half months. On April 21st, Jin Hao, the Deputy Secretary of the Nanyang Municipal Committee and Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee, was officially placed under investigation.
Jin Hao had long been working in Nanyang City, previously holding positions such as the Secretary of Xinye County Committee, Director of Nanyang New Area, Vice Chairman of the Municipal People’s Congress Standing Committee, and Secretary of the Dengzhou Municipal Committee.
In September 2021, Jin Hao was appointed as a member of the Nanyang Municipal Committee and later became the Deputy Secretary of the Nanyang Municipal Committee and Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee, before being investigated this time.
