Celebrity Korean actress Hwang Bora, known for her roles in popular K-dramas such as “The Road to Three” “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim” and “Dali and the Potato Soup”, welcomed her first child on May 23 in good health.

At the age of 40, Hwang Bora had shared her struggles during pregnancy on her personal YouTube channel. She revealed the challenges she faced due to her age making it difficult to conceive, and the emotional turmoil of failed embryo implantation. After undergoing four rounds of IVF over the course of a year, she successfully became pregnant on her first wedding anniversary. On May 22, she posted a photo on her social media with the caption “D-1”, hinting at her scheduled cesarean section for the next day.

Her talent agency, Walk House Company, announced on May 23 that Hwang Bora gave birth to a healthy baby boy in the afternoon. The company expressed gratitude for the well wishes and support for Hwang Bora and her son “Woolde” (childhood nickname), stating that both mother and baby are in good health and Hwang is currently resting under the care of her family.

Hwang Bora went public with her relationship with actor and CEO of Walk House Company, Cha Hyun-woo (real name Kim Young-hoon), in July 2014. After a decade-long courtship, the couple tied the knot in July 2022 and had their wedding ceremony in November the same year.

Hwang Bora’s father-in-law is veteran actor Kim Yong-geon, while her brother-in-law is actor Kim Sung-kyun, known for his roles in “Along with the Gods” and other productions.

The joyous occasion of Hwang Bora becoming a mother marks a new chapter in her life alongside her husband, family, and the extended entertainment industry circle that continues to shower them with warm wishes and love.
