The highly anticipated Democratic National Convention (DNC) in the United States is set to kick off on Monday (August 19) in Chicago.
Following President Biden’s withdrawal from the campaign, Vice President Kamala Harris has taken the reins, and the Democratic Party has restructured the agenda for the national convention, planning to praise Biden’s achievements and focus on rallying support for Harris.
President Biden is scheduled to deliver a speech on the first night of the DNC and formally transition his role as a 2024 presidential candidate to Vice President Harris.
Harris is set to debate her Republican opponent, former President Trump, on September 10. The vice presidential candidates for both parties, Walz and Pence, are scheduled to debate on October 1.
Additionally, before the November election, there may be more presidential and vice-presidential debates between the two parties.
