The Communist Party’s Political and Legal System Sparks Reporting Wave, Many Officials go Online to “Seek Justice”

In recent times, there has been a trend of online real-name whistleblowing in the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) official circles, especially among personnel in the political and legal system who are considered the “cutting edge” of the CCP, which has sparked heated discussions among internet users. Some netizens commented, saying, “Even the public security, procuratorate, and judicial departments choose to report online, yet they advise us to use the proper channels to address issues – it’s extremely ironic!”

Recently, the Deputy Chief Justice of the Intermediate People’s Court in Baishan City, Jilin Province, Chen Dalong, released a video publicly accusing the Baishan City Discipline Inspection Commission’s Liu Mingli of retaliating against him.

In a video lasting over 2 minutes, Chen Dalong, holding his personal identification documents, introduced himself as the current member of the CCP Party Committee and Deputy Chief Justice of the Zongqi Court in Baishan City, Jilin Province. He openly accused officials from the Baishan City Discipline Inspection Commission, namely Liu Mingli, Gao Tongguang, and Hao Shugang, of acting as enforcers for unlawful businessmen.

Chen Dalong mentioned that he offended unscrupulous businessmen in the course of his work, and these businessmen colluded with Liu Mingli of the Baishan City Discipline Inspection Commission to retaliate against him. Liu Mingli secretly accessed Chen’s personal financial information and reported it to the Baishan City Discipline Inspection Commission through unlawful businessmen. As a result, Chen Dalong was detained by the Baishan City Discipline Inspection Commission for 82 days, during which he was subjected to cruel torture. He was forced to go on a hunger strike in protest, and his eye surgery was delayed due to the detention, causing damage to his eyes. Additionally, his wife developed severe depression from being interrogated by the Discipline Inspection Commission for prolonged periods.

After being released, the Baishan City Discipline Inspection Commission fabricated evidence to prosecute him. Despite multiple attempts to report the situation to the city and provincial Discipline Inspection Commissions, he received no response.

Just this week, there has been an explosive growth in the reporting events within the CCP’s political and legal system, including the aforementioned whistleblowing by judges in Jilin. Besides the Jilin judge’s report, several officials from the political and legal systems in Liaoning, Fujian, Chongqing, and other provinces and cities of the CCP have successively reported internal illegal and corrupt practices online.

Former judge Guo Dawei of Panshan County, Panjin City, Liaoning Province, released a video accusing Wang Hong, the Director of the Enforcement Bureau of the Liaoning High People’s Court, of involvement in bribery, selling offices, nepotism, and other unlawful activities.

In addition, this judge also reported Wang Zhiqiang, a member of the Party Committee and Director of the Political Department of the Hanjiang District Court in Putian City, Fujian Province for allegedly engaging in illegal activities such as buying and selling offices, corruption, and bribery.

A woman in Liaocheng City, Shandong Province, recently made a real-name complaint online, alleging that Wang Xinsheng, an official of the Tax Bureau in Dongchangfu District, Liaocheng, along with his family, had a total of 40 million yuan of unexplained funds and owned multiple properties in Liaocheng, Weihai, and Hainan. The woman also accused Wang Xinsheng of wrongdoing, using public resources for personal gain, and treating the court as their own property.

In June this year, Wu Yongqiang, a Level 1 Police Supervisor at the Public Security Department of Shaanxi Province, posted a video online accusing Wang Xingning, the Secretary of the Provincial Discipline Inspection Commission, and Yang Shangwei, the Executive Deputy Director of the Public Security Department, of acting as the “protective umbrella” for corrupt elements and malicious forces.

Furthermore, Cao Xuanxiang, a prosecutor at the Qixingguan District Prosecutor’s Office in Bijie City, also testified in this video that his false accusation against Shen Chenggang was due to over 20 days of continuous interrogation and coercion by senior investigators.
