This year, the largest overseas Chinese television station, NTD Television, will hold the 5th International Photography Contest in 2025, and registration is currently underway. The organizers welcome professional photographers and photography enthusiasts from around the world to participate actively. NTD Television has added three new awards for this year’s contest: Best Chinese Photographer Award, Best Sports Work Award, and Best Work Commemorating the 250th Anniversary of the United States’ Founding.
The NTD International Photography Contest is one of a series of international arts and cultural events organized by NTD Television. This competition aims to promote cultural and artistic exchanges among photography enthusiasts worldwide, promote traditional values and aesthetics, and inspire positive photographic creations.
The contest is dedicated to showcasing goodwill, beauty, light, and natural states, with a focus on reviving traditional aesthetic principles, as well as preserving cultural heritage. It provides photographers with a global platform to showcase their talents and share their visual works with a wider audience.
Entries will be divided into two categories: Social and Humanistic Works, and Scenery and Nature Works.
Social and Humanistic Works include human life in natural states, portraits, folk culture, humor, human-animal interactions, and human-environment interactions. Adjustments to brightness, color balance, and clarity are allowed as long as the result looks natural. Content elements in the works must not be added, removed, or modified.
Scenery and Nature Works include scenes and objects in a natural state, architecture, and landscapes. Adjustments to brightness, color balance, and clarity are permitted, but the works must maintain a natural effect. Works that alter natural characteristics through post-processing or add, remove, or modify content elements will not be accepted.
For each category, one Gold Award winner will be selected (prize of $5,000 or equivalent in photography equipment/products/award certificate); two Silver Award winners (prize of $2,500 or equivalent); three Bronze Award winners (prize of $2,000 or equivalent); and ten Excellent Awards in each category (prize of $300 or equivalent).
Additionally, special awards are set for Best Chinese Photographer, Best Sports Work, and Best Work Commemorating the 250th Anniversary of the United States’ Founding, each with a prize of $2,000 or equivalent in photography equipment/products/award certificate.
Gold Award winners will enjoy an exclusive interview on the NTD platform. Other award winners will be featured in news reports, social media, and other platforms.
The registration deadline is July 31 this year, and the award ceremony will be held in New York in January next year. For more details, please visit:
