Terror! Quincy Dog Walker Tracked by Wild Wolves

On April 18th in Quincy, Massachusetts, a woman was followed by a coyote while walking her dog, and afterwards she described the experience as terrifying. Keri Chojnowski was walking her 3-year-old mixed-breed dog, Brodie, on Bowes Avenue in Quincy at the time. When she reached the corner of the road, she was startled as she saw a large coyote jump out from a yard fence.

“Yes, it jumped out of the fence, landed here all of a sudden, and then started following me all the way to my house,” Chojnowski told the media. “Fear and concern just rushed in all at once.”

Chojnowski’s house was not far away at the time, so she was able to quickly retreat indoors. The incident was also captured by security cameras at her house. A neighbor who witnessed the event from the window even yelled in an attempt to scare off the coyote.

“That day, I felt a bit scared with a coyote chasing me along the way,” Chojnowski said.

Another resident, Richard Beeks, who lives not far from her, told the media that he used to have a small white dog that was killed by a coyote a few years ago.

The Massachusetts Department of Fish and Wildlife suggests that when encountering a coyote, residents can create loud noises to scare them away.
