Terror Masked Man Appears on Hangzhou Highway, Raises Traffic Safety Concerns.

Recently, on the Hangzhou section of the Changshen Expressway (Hangxinjing Expressway Fuyang section), a car with a Shanghai license plate had a person wearing a terrifying mask at the passenger seat, which scared people and sparked a discussion on traffic safety among netizens.

On August 24th, netizens exposed instances of someone wearing a terrifying mask intentionally trying to scare passing vehicles on the Hangzhou section of the Changshen Expressway. Videos showed two cars driving side by side, with the person wearing a mask sitting in a Shanghai-licensed car. The person wearing the mask slightly stood up, looked towards the passing cars, then rolled down the car window and stared.

Many netizens raised concerns that in a high-speed environment, if passengers wearing masks scare the drivers of passing vehicles, it could lead to serious traffic accidents.

“There’s something really terrifying about this. Kids could cry from fear, and for those with a weak heart, if they lose control of the steering wheel, what then? What kind of mindset is this? Those who endanger public safety must be severely punished!.” “If it were me, I would probably be so scared that I’d start swerving the steering wheel and end up in another lane, causing trouble. It’s just asking for trouble.” “Highways are dangerous, getting startled easily could lead to instinctively jerking the steering wheel and causing an accident.” “People like this should be severely penalized, scaring others on the highway seriously impacts public safety.”

On August 25th, reporters from “Jimu News” reported the situation to the Hangzhou traffic police, with staff stating that they are aware of the matter and are dealing with it.

According to reports from “Orangeshi Interactive,” informed sources stated that the incident occurred on a section of the Hangxinjing Expressway in Hangzhou. The person wearing the mask as the passenger was not intentionally rolling down the car window to scare other passing vehicles during the incident. The person wearing the mask had no deliberate intention to scare the person filming from the other car. When the person filming passed by and saw the passenger wearing the mask, he slowed down, and when the car with the mask-wearing passenger approached, he rolled down the window to film them. The passenger wearing the mask felt someone was filming him, so he rolled down the window.

The informant stated, “At the time, the mask on the person in the car was prepared for a festival, and he was just wearing it for fun. He had been wearing it all along before filming. When the filming car came, he rolled down the window to see if they were filming him, not with the intention of scaring anyone.”
