The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China (Taiwan) announced that Minister of Foreign Affairs Joseph Wu led a delegation of 20 Taiwanese drone industry companies to Lithuania to promote the connection of the drone industry.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China (Taiwan), the delegation, named the “Taiwan Drone Industry Visiting Delegation,” was organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council to showcase Taiwan’s research and manufacturing capabilities in drone technology to Europe and global democratic partners. The goal is to position Taiwan as a core hub in the global drone supply chain. The delegation, consisting of 20 drone-related companies, is scheduled to visit Europe from November 17 to 24.
During the visit to Lithuania, the Taiwan Drone Industry Visiting Delegation, led by Minister Joseph Wu, will engage with European drone manufacturers to explore business opportunities, enhance industry cooperation, and strengthen the global drone supply chain.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China (Taiwan) emphasized the international significance of the drone industry in the fields of technology and economic security, making it a focal point for countries worldwide. Minister Joseph Wu’s promotion of the concept of “Comprehensive Diplomacy” aims to leverage Taiwan’s technological strengths to assist in the development of crucial global technology supply chains, highlighting Taiwan as a reliable partner in the global democratic supply chain.
Stressing Taiwan’s role as a trustworthy and stable participant in the global democratic supply chain, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China (Taiwan) responded to the global demand for establishing a reliable drone industry chain. Minister Joseph Wu specifically invited the Taiwan Excellence Drone Overseas Business Opportunities Alliance and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council to jointly launch the first drone industry visiting delegation to Europe. The delegation is led by Chairman Hu Kai-hong of the Taiwan Excellence Drone Overseas Business Opportunities Alliance and Director of Hanwha Aerospace Co., Ltd., aiming to align Taiwan’s drone industry with international standards.
