Taiwanese Teacher Awarded the Highest Honor by Ministry of Education for Changing Children with Clean Campus

Three years ago, in a classroom in Chaozhou Town, Pingtung, Taiwan, there was a boy whose eyes always carried a sense of vigilance and anger. He refused to attend classes, ran away from home, harbored resentment towards the world and his mother.

His teacher, Chen Jingrong, who has been teaching for 27 years, always believed that no child is born bad, only with misunderstood hearts.

The boy suffered from Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder combined with Asperger’s Syndrome, filled with resentment towards his mother. He had run away from home and smashed a carnation intended for Mother’s Day. He resisted affection, rejected learning, breaking the hearts of parents and worrying teachers, thinking the child’s situation was beyond repair.

However, Teacher Chen Jingrong did not give up. She spent three years engaging in conversations with the child, communicating with the mother back and forth. With the companionship and guidance of the entire class, the child’s heart gradually opened up. The most touching moment occurred on Mother’s Day when the boy sang with the entire class and presented a carnation to his mother as a gesture of gratitude.

Teacher Chen Jingrong recorded this moment as a Mother’s Day video, which was published on her “Clean Campus Teacher Premium Channel” and became one of the moving submissions for the Clean World 2023 Mother’s Day activities.

He expressed that among all the teachers he had encountered from the past to the present, Teacher Jingrong was the top one in his heart, allowing him to feel warmth during his growth. He carried this encouragement forward, aiming to become a loving person. The boy’s parent expressed gratitude to Teacher Chen.

Teacher Chen Jingrong expressed that the change in the child over the past three years was all thanks to a magical assistant – the “Clean Campus Teacher Premium Channel” of the Clean World. She said, “The Clean Campus enables children to enjoy learning, display talents, enhance confidence, maintain harmonious classroom atmosphere, strong cohesion, and good temperament among children.”

The Clean Campus Teacher Channel provides teachers with interactive teaching tools and quality content, allowing them to initiate class activities through theme tags, organize teaching resources in limitless playlists, among others. Teacher Chen combines class management with moral education on her Clean Campus channel, creating a “Broad Horizon” video project for the children, releasing over a hundred videos in the past year, including records of children participating in reading, moral practices, and artistic activities, guiding them bit by bit.

Teacher Chen Jingrong said, “In the era of digital technology, I hope to teach children to discern false information, avoid internet addiction, and guard their hearts with goodness and beauty. ‘Clean World’ enables me to achieve this.”

Teacher Chen added, “Because Clean World doesn’t have addictive algorithms, children can learn on a network free of violence, pornography, and crime. Students enjoy learning, and parents are happy to witness their children’s growth on this platform. There are sincere parents who expressed, ‘Your video recording is heartfelt, capturing the precious growth process of children. Seeing the children earnestly learning at school brings immense joy.'”

Through the interactive teaching of Clean Campus, Teacher Chen guides students to embrace empathy and mutual assistance, inspiring them to actively help a classmate who underwent surgery, such as fetching books, water bottles, school bags, and lunchboxes. For three consecutive months, classmates voluntarily and happily assisted the injured girl.

In the following semester, when another boy in the class fractured his hand, the classmates hesitated even less and readily assisted him with serving food, carrying homework, backpacks, and even helping move chairs.

In 2024, Teacher Chen Jingrong led the children to participate in the “Kindness is Cool Video Awards” organized by Clean World and won the “Best Ensemble Award”, with the work being featured on the screens of New York Times Square.

In this competition involving 50 countries, Teacher Chen guided students to document situations during library reading sessions, directing and producing series like “Kindness is Really Cool” and “I Can Help Effortlessly”, encouraging children to practice small acts of kindness in real life, fostering mutual happiness.

“Students participating in the activities exhibit emotional stability, a positive attitude, becoming more accepting of students with learning disabilities and emotional disorders. Students show significant improvement in academic performance, excelling in school and extracurricular competitions,” Teacher Chen said.

“Thank you, Teacher, not only for imparting knowledge but also for influencing children’s behavior and conduct as they grow. As parents, we are at ease, seeing your dedication to education and love for the students,” expressed the parent of a “gifted student” in the class to Teacher Chen.

“Encountering a teacher like you is truly a blessing for him. I am also very grateful for the wholehearted efforts you put into these children, allowing us parents to witness the growth process of these children together,” expressed another parent in gratitude.

Educators and parents from the United States, Canada, Japan, South Korea, and other countries were also moved by these videos. They commented, “We see the beauty of Taiwanese education, witnessing the kindness of children, a model the world needs.” Teacher Chen Jingrong expressed, “Clean World allows children to share their acts of kindness in a safe environment and lets the world see them. Such educational power transcends borders.”

Currently, over 400 teachers globally have benefited from the Clean World platform, with many educators, like Teacher Chen, illuminating children’s lives in different regions, guiding them to explore knowledge, inspiring kindness, morals, and traditional values.

In 2025, Clean World’s goal is to sponsor 1000 teachers through the Clean Campus initiative, empowering more children to learn in a clean and safe network environment, leading to positive changes. With the support of society and you, significant changes can be brought about!
