Taiwanese military detects 32 Chinese ships disturbing Taiwan, closely monitors and responds

The Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China announced that from 6 a.m. on the 21st to 6 a.m. today (22nd), a total of 32 Chinese Communist Party (CCP) aircraft and ships were detected operating near Taiwan Strait, and the national army is closely monitoring and responding to the situation.

According to the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China, the dynamics of CCP activities in the airspace near Taiwan Strait were disclosed from 6 a.m. on the 21st to 6 a.m. today, with 23 instances of CCP aircraft (including 16 instances crossing the median line into the northern, southwestern, and eastern airspace) and 8 CCP vessels and 1 government vessel, totaling 32 CCP aircraft and ships continuing operations near Taiwan Strait.

Based on the illustration of CCP activities in the airspace near Taiwan Strait released by the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China today, on the morning of the 21st from 10:20 to 10:30, one CCP main fighter was detected in the airspace in northern Taiwan. From 6:30 a.m. to 7:40 p.m., 14 instances of CCP main fighters and drones were spotted in the airspace of Taiwan Strait, with 7 instances crossing the median line.

The national army also detected 6 instances of CCP main and support fighters in the southwestern airspace of Taiwan from 8:15 a.m. to 9:45 p.m. on the 21st, and 2 instances of CCP helicopters in the eastern airspace from 10 a.m. to 6:20 p.m.

The Ministry of National Defense emphasized that the national army is closely monitoring and responding to the situation using task aircraft, ships, and land-based missile systems.

May 20th marked the first anniversary of President Lai Ching-te’s inauguration in the Republic of China, and on the 21st, the Ministry of National Defense stated that from 6 a.m. on the 20th to 6 a.m. on the 21st, 15 instances of CCP aircraft crossed the median line into the southwestern airspace and 8 CCP vessels and 1 government vessel, totaling 24 CCP aircraft and ships continuing operations near Taiwan Strait.

According to the illustration of CCP activities in the airspace near Taiwan Strait released by the Ministry of National Defense on the 21st, from 9:40 a.m. to 1:20 p.m. on the 20th, 4 instances of CCP main fighters crossed the median line in the airspace of Taiwan Strait.

Furthermore, the national army detected 11 instances of CCP main fighters and drones in the southwestern airspace of Taiwan from 8:20 a.m. to 8:20 p.m. on the 20th.
