Taiwanese Food Seminar Tour to be Held in San Diego on May 7th

The 2024 “Taiwan International Food Lecture Tour” will be held on the afternoon of May 7 at the San Diego San Diego Gospel Christian Church. Two chefs, Lee Jiaqi and Liao Taijun, from the Sheraton Hotel in Taoyuan, Taiwan, will demonstrate a variety of Taiwanese delicacies, including aged wine jelly drunken fresh shrimp, garlic-flavored red meat thick soup, sesame oil chicken rice, soy milk Taiwanese salted crispy chicken, and braised beef noodles. Attendees will have the opportunity to taste these delicious dishes on site. The event is organized by the San Diego Double Ten Committee.

The Overseas Community Affairs Council of the Republic of China has been hosting this international lecture tour since 2010, combining it with mainstream events overseas to promote Taiwanese cuisine, enhance Taiwan’s connections with the world, and attract more overseas friends to visit Taiwan! In 2024, the Overseas Community Affairs Council has planned a total of 5 routes, which will tour 18 countries and 39 regions globally from May, showcasing Taiwan’s culinary elites as head chefs and presenting classic Taiwanese dishes using local ingredients to treat overseas compatriots.
