Taiwan Ministry of National Defense: Chinese Communist Party Launches Satellite Rocket Height Above Atmosphere

The Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China responded to the launch of a satellite rocket by the Chinese Communist Party, stating that at 9:14 pm on the 1st, the Chinese Communist Party carried out a satellite launch mission with a carrier rocket in Sichuan.

In a press release, the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China stated that at 9:14 pm on the 1st, the Chinese Communist Party executed a satellite launch mission with a carrier rocket at the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in Sichuan. The rocket’s flight path passed through the central Taiwan towards the west Pacific Ocean, at an altitude beyond the atmosphere, posing no harm to Taiwan.

The Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China emphasized that the military uses a joint intelligence surveillance system to closely monitor the relevant dynamic information and respond appropriately.

Furthermore, the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China issued a report this morning (2nd), stating that from 6 am on the 1st to 6 am today, a total of 17 instances of Chinese aircraft (with 14 instances crossing the median line of the Taiwan Strait and intruding into the southwest airspace), as well as 11 instances of Chinese vessels, have been detected, continuously active around the Taiwan Strait.

The Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China stressed that the military closely monitors and responds using air and naval assets, as well as shore-based missile systems. According to the flight path map released by the Air Force, Chinese aircraft that crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait were approximately 42 nautical miles from Keelung. Those intruding into the southwest airspace were approximately 85 nautical miles and 37 nautical miles away from Eluanbi.
