Taiwan military closely monitors and responds to 23 aircraft crossing midline of Taiwan Strait

The Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China stated that as of 8:15 am today, Chinese Communist Party (CCP) aircraft have been detected crossing the median line of the Taiwan Strait a total of 23 times while coordinating with CCP warships to harass Taiwan. The national army is closely monitoring and responding to the situation.

The Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China released information this morning regarding the activity of CCP forces in the sea and airspace around Taiwan. From 6:00 am on the 29th to 6:00 am today, a total of 11 instances of CCP aircraft (including 10 instances crossing the median line into the northern and southwestern airspace) and 6 CCP warships have been detected operating in the vicinity of the Taiwan Strait.

According to a diagram released by the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China today, CCP main combat and unmanned aircraft were detected a total of 11 times in the airspace around the Taiwan Strait from 6:35 am to 9:10 pm on the 29th, with 10 instances of CCP aircraft crossing the median line into the northern and southwestern airspace.

The Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China reiterated that the national army is utilizing reconnaissance aircraft, ships, and shore-based missile systems to closely monitor and respond to these activities.

At 12:30 pm today, the Ministry of National Defense issued a press release stating that since 8:15 am, a total of 33 instances of various types of CCP fighters and drones, including J-16 and KJ-500, have been detected engaging in maritime activities. Among these, 23 instances crossed the median line and its extensions into the northern, central, and southwestern airspace of Taiwan, in coordination with CCP warships, under the guise of “joint combat readiness patrols” to harass the airspace and waters surrounding Taiwan.

The Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China emphasized that the national army is closely monitoring through joint intelligence surveillance means and has dispatched reconnaissance aircraft, ships, and shore-based missile systems to respond appropriately.
