Taipei 101 National Day Fireworks Show with 500 Drones for the First Time

On the Double Tenth National Day of the Republic of China in 2025, the National Day celebration at Taipei 101 combined fireworks, 500 drones, and a spectacular light show on the building, creating the first-ever drone and fireworks extravaganza in the Xinyi District.

Taipei 101 collaborated with the Taipei City Government and was exclusively sponsored by Fubon Financial Holding to present the “2025 Taipei 101 National Day Celebration” on the night of October 10. Themed “Gen. TAIWAN: Our Moment,” the event attracted tens of thousands of people to gather and watch, sharing Taiwan’s glorious moment with the world through exclusive live broadcasts.

The “Gen. TAIWAN: Our Moment” National Day performance began with a dazzling minute of fireworks symbolizing Taiwan’s enduring energy, accompanied by illuminated messages of “❤️TAIWAN” and “Strength and Resilience through Love” to send sincere wishes to Hualien. The display aimed to rally the nation’s spirits through light and shadows, uniting everyone to cheer for Taiwan.

Following the fireworks, a formation of 500 drones, combined with building lights and laser beams, showcased visual imagery such as “Taipei 101,” “Taiwan,” and “Earth” in 3D, demonstrating Taiwan’s global perspective and incorporating unique elements like Taiwan’s national sport “baseball,” architectural classic “window flowers,” and Taipei’s mascot “Xiong Zan” to represent Taiwan’s cultural richness and vibrant enthusiasm.

The appearance of Richart, the mascot of Fubon Financial Holding, with a birthday cake elicited enthusiastic cheers from the audience. The night sky was then illuminated with the message “Keep Going, Taiwan” alongside a heart symbol. Following the drone performance was a three-minute fireworks finale that lasted about 12 minutes, marking a magnificent chapter in the “Gen. TAIWAN: Our Moment” National Day celebration of 2025.

Chairperson of Taipei 101, Jia Yongjie, and General Manager of Fubon Financial Holding, Lin Weijun, were present at the event, gazing up at the night sky with the public to witness Taiwan’s glorious moment. Jia Yongjie stated, “Every National Day is a festival for all citizens, and this year, we hope to inscribe Taiwan’s story into the night sky in an innovative way. This is not only Taiwan’s era but also a stage for Taiwan to showcase its confidence and creativity to the world.”

Lin Weijun emphasized, “On this land, we always uphold the spirit of ‘Serious Cooperation’ and stand side by side with every Taiwanese striving forward. Tonight is not only to celebrate Double Tenth National Day but also the starting point for us to face a brighter future together.”
