Taiwan’s Central Weather Bureau issued a heavy rain warning, with heavy rain expected in the mountainous areas of Kaohsiung City and Pingtung County tonight (July 31st). Chiayi County, Tainan City, Kaohsiung City, and Pingtung County are also forecasted to experience heavy rain. Due to the rainfall, the Directorate-General of Personnel Administration of the Executive Yuan announced class and work suspensions for various regions in Taiwan on August 1st:

– Jhongpu Township: Work and classes suspended

– Xinyi Township, Longhua Elementary School: Work and classes suspended
– Zushan Township, Ruizhu Elementary School: Work and classes suspended
– Zushan Township, Ruizhu Junior High School: Work and classes suspended
