“Mom of Southern Fist” celebrates its 20th anniversary, having gone through changes in its members. The original members, Bullet and Yu-Hao, formed separate groups, “Little Southern Fist” and “Mom of Southern Fist X,” after their departure from the main group. However, reports have emerged that Yu-Hao’s company has allegedly placed a false lien of 10 million New Taiwan Dollars on “Little Southern Fist,” to which Bullet has responded.
Founded in 2004 with the support of Jay Chou, Bullet (Song Jianzhang) has remained steadfast in the group ever since. Over the years, after several generations of member changes, Bullet, along with Hong Yanxiang, Cao Jinghao, and Chen Yuci, formed “Little Southern Fist” in 2017 and registered “Mom of Southern Fist” under his name in 2018.
In 2022, Yu-Hao, another original member, approached Bullet expressing his interest in reuniting and requesting the rights to use half of the “Mom of Southern Fist” trademark. Out of trust, Bullet agreed to authorize half of the group’s name to Yu-Hao. That same year, Yu-Hao, along with Zhang Jie and Lara Liang Xinyi, formed “Mom of Southern Fist X” for a comeback.
However, a recent magazine report claimed that Yu-Hao’s company, Star Legend, demanded 10 million NTD from Bullet’s non-participation in 200 events held by “Little Southern Fist,” citing the inability to use the group’s name without Bullet’s presence.
According to a report by “Sanli News Network,” Bullet responded earlier, stating that he has no regrets about the authorization he gave to Yu-Hao initially. He mentioned, “We have been good friends for 20 years. I authorized half of ‘Mom of Southern Fist’ to them because I was worried about their financial situation after going solo for so long.”
Bullet confirmed that the legal battle is ongoing, which has caused some restrictions in “Little Southern Fist’s” activities. However, he emphasized that he still maintains contact with Yu-Hao and Zhang Jie privately, and their friendship remains unchanged.
