The detention order issued by the Phnom Penh Municipal Court investigative judge shows that Zhang Mucheng, a 26-year-old Chinese national, was arrested in Phnom Penh on November 13th. The court accused her of participating in multiple cases of online fraud from October to November 2025, as well as collaborating with criminal groups in the illegal cross-border human trafficking crimes.
Based on Article 11 of the Law on Suppression of Human Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation and Articles 377 and 380 of the Penal Code, the Cambodian court issued a detention order on November 15th, directing the police to lawfully transfer her to Prey Sar Prison in Phnom Penh for further proceedings.
Sources have revealed that the proceeds of the crimes were allegedly deposited into “Orange Sister’s” bank account.
According to Red Star News, on the evening of November 19th, the account of internet celebrity “Orange Sister” showed that it had been permanently banned.
From being reported missing in Cambodia to the confirmation of her arrest by Cambodian authorities, “Orange Sister’s” case has once again sparked widespread attention on social media, with multiple related topics trending on Weibo.
Netizens have expressed shock at the news, with comments like, “The internet celebrity ‘Orange Sister’ who used to be known as an ‘inspirational travel blogger’ has had her social media account permanently banned due to ‘allegations of online fraud and illegal cross-border human trafficking’.”
“It turns out ‘Orange Sister’ wasn’t missing, she was caught. The internet celebrity who received help from the entire internet community to find her turned out to be a criminal.”

Earlier on November 16th, “Orange Sister’s” sister spoke out, stating that in early November, “Orange Sister” had gone to Sihanoukville, Cambodia to visit her boyfriend “Brother Long.” She was supposed to return on November 13th but went missing since November 12th, with her phone switched off. Her boyfriend’s phone was also off and he was uncontactable. The family issued a missing person notice seeking assistance.
“Brother Long” claims to run a hotel in Sihanoukville, but the city is notorious for telecom fraud, raising doubts about his occupation. As a result, netizens widely believe that “Orange Sister” was most likely betrayed by her boyfriend.
