Six Flags new rule: Under 16 must be accompanied by an adult to experience Halloween scarefest.

Six Flags Magic Mountain in Los Angeles County announced on its official website that it will implement new regulations starting from September 7th. The theme park will require guests aged 15 and below to be accompanied by an adult guardian when participating in the “Fright Fest Extreme” event.

According to the park, an increase in incidents of misconduct and inappropriate behavior in recent years has led them to establish this new policy, similar to other entertainment venues. Knott’s Berry Farm, which is also under the same company, implemented similar measures in 2022 in response to an increase in fighting incidents during the summer.

The new rule stipulates that minor guests must be accompanied by someone over 21 from 4:00 p.m. until the park closes. Guardians must present valid proof of age, with each guardian allowed to accompany a maximum of 10 guests and must remain in the park at all times, maintaining phone contact. This policy applies to guests with both single-day tickets and season passes, for more details, please refer to the Six Flags Magic Mountain official website.

Under the new policy, guests aged 16 and above must also provide proof of age. The park mentioned that guests found cutting lines, using foul language, or engaging in other inappropriate behaviors will be immediately ejected without refund. Gestures, symbols, and abusive language will all be considered inappropriate behavior.

Guests who leave a queue, even if they were previously in the front, must return to the back of the line. It is also against company rules to save a place for others.

Furthermore, starting from September 7th, both Six Flags Magic Mountain and its adjacent Hurricane Harbor Los Angeles water park will enforce a comprehensive no-smoking policy, including traditional cigarettes, e-cigarettes, and marijuana. Designated smoking areas will be set up outside the parks, allowing only tobacco products to be used.
